How to Buy an NFT Whitelist Spot Without Getting Scammed

A whitelist (WL) spot lets a wallet mint before the public, often at a lower price. Spots trade hands before mint day, and that's where scams live: fake spots, spots sold twice, and "WL checkers" that drain wallets.

Know which kind of spot it is

  • GTD (guaranteed): a reserved mint. Worth more.
  • FCFS (first come, first served): a chance to mint while supply lasts.
  • Mint pass or allowlist NFT: a token that grants the right to mint; it moves like any NFT.

The listing should name the collection, the network and the type.

Know how it's delivered

  • Wallet added to the list: the seller submits your wallet through the project. Check it on the project's official WL checker.
  • Pass or NFT transfer: the seller sends it to your wallet; check it on a block explorer.
  • Wallet handover: you receive the whole wallet. Move everything to your own wallet before confirming.

Pay through escrow

Your payment waits in escrow until you've checked the spot. If it's not there, open a dispute: the money stays frozen while an admin reviews the deal.

Never connect to a link from the seller

Use only the project's official site and Discord announcements. Zeus OTC will never ask you to connect your wallet.
